The RBHS Dance Department is sending out a call for performance artists! They will be hosting their first-ever Dance Slam on January 13th and 14th. Have a dance you'd like to perform on stage? All are welcome to submit a performance for the show by December 8th to Ms. Dall. See the Dance Slam flyers for more details, or stop by the dance studio with questions!

This week, AST will be hosting a fundraiser for Bernie's Book Drive, a non-profit organization that donates gently worn and new books to children throughout Illinois.  Also, throughout the week, different teachers, faculty members, and students will be sharing their favorite childhood books on the morning and afternoon announcements. Our fundraiser will be beginning on December 6th and will run through December 17th. Please bring any gently worn or new books that you have. Donation boxes will be located at Door A each morning before school. Thank you for your support.

This week is CS Ed Week. Computer science is a part of almost everything we touch these days. Most people think of marketing as an area of business only, but computer science can be a huge asset for new marketing businesses. After all, the vast majority of new marketing tactics rely on electronic media and online platforms. With a computer science degree, you can help clients take their marketing online with powerful electronic tools to help develop their brand. Email marketing, web development, social media campaigns and more are all extremely important in modern marketing. Check out the University of Illinois for their degree in Computer Science + Advertising! And don't forget to look at the options for learning Web Design, Gaming and an Intro to CS as well as two different APCS classes offered at RB!
