Today is the Day of Silence — a national student-led movement highlighting the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ+ people. Over 4 in 5 LGBTQ+ students don’t see positive LGBTQ+ representation in their curriculum, nearly 9 in 10 experience verbal harassment, and almost a third miss school because they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. We will now take a moment of silence to stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ community…PAUSE FOR A MOMENT OF SILENCE… Thank you.
