ComEd is one of the largest companies in Illinois. They employ over 6,200 employees and conducted a Career Fair at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. Our students participated in interactive exhibits designed to spark their curiosity to learn more about what a future in the energy industry would look like. We heard directly from the CEO and learned about employment opportunities in Accounting and Finance, Communications, Marketing, HR, Occupational Health, IT, Legal, and more.
"The great thing about ComEd is that there is not a "one size fits all" approach towards their hiring practices,” said school counselor Mr. Paul Emerson. “ComEd is looking to hire engineers with master's degrees or technicians directly out of high school. Our students did an exceptional job of learning about Com Ed's various career opportunities, the pathways towards obtaining them, and making new contacts and connections along the way."
