Congratulations to student Rebecca Dosek on her work being accepted into the 2024 Scholastic Arts Exhibit! This is considered the most prestigious and longest-running high school art exhibition in the United States. Her work is titled ‘Blue Jay Vase’ and is nominated under the Ceramics + Glass category. “I created a vase based on Roman vases because of their amazing shapes and carved blue jays, flowers, and berries onto the surface,” said Dosek. For the Suburban Chicago Art Region, over 2700 individual works of art and 75 senior portfolios were submitted this year. The exhibition will display 875 works selected to receive awards. Gold Key recipients will automatically move on to the National Adjudication, and those results will be announced in mid-March.
