Senior student Makayla Angshed has been invited to compete at the 2024 Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) and received a combined $132,000 in tuition scholarships from the IHSAE! The IHSAE Main Event is on Sunday, April 21, bringing some of the best student artists from 100 Illinois high schools to compete and celebrate the power of art. Makayla will compete in the Northern Regional Competition and the Senior Scholarship Exhibition with her Timed Art piece, “Time to Wake Up.” The Northern Regional Exhibition is one of Illinois’ largest and most influential student art exhibitions, with over 150 high schools from across the state participating in this juried exhibition. The Senior Scholarship Exhibition will exhibit 350+ senior artworks and recognize scholarship offers totaling over $75 million on top of other prestigious awards. Makayla’s scholarship offers are from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Millikin University, and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
