BLOOD DRIVE

Are you still thinking about signing up to donate blood?  It is NOT too late.  Stop by and see Ms Ziola in Room 215 or Mr Dybas in Room 211 or find any of the SA Executive Board members to help you get signed up!  The Blood Drive is TOMORROW (TUESDAY) in the East Gym all day.  Did you know?? - donating blood regularly helps with Cardiovascular health. ...May reduce the risk of developing cancer. ...Stimulates blood cell production. ...Helps improve your mental state.  Please consider donating Blood.

WRESTLING

For any boys or girls interested in wrestling this winter, we will have a meeting on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. in the wrestling room. See Coach Curby in Rm. 216 with any questions.

ASIAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Asian Student Association would like to highlight the festival of Diwali,  which is celebrated in South Asia.  It celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Please join us in a diya painting workshop on October 29th in the Student Cafeteria at 3:15pm. All are welcome!

SOPHOMORE CLASS 

On Thursday, October 31st, the sophomore class officers are having a fundraiser selling Dunkin Doughnuts for $2.50 CASH ONLY in the atrium from 8:00 to 8:50 am. Dress up in your best Halloween outfit and you have the chance for a discount! The profits will go towards the sophomore class. Thank you for supporting your fellow bulldogs by grabbing a delicious donut! 

CHESS TEAM

 

The RB Chess Team started their season last week with a down to the wire home loss to Glenbard South and the tough Andrew Tournament on Saturday.

Senior Mateo Gonazlez and Sophomore Vittoria Sciacca are undefeated in their five matches and earned medals on Saturday.  Sophomore Eli Halliwell has two wins and a draw in his five matches.

Chess Team and Club meets every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school in Room 119.  All are welcome to play!

 

 

BASEBALL

 

Anyone interested in trying out for baseball this spring, please attend a brief program meeting to discuss off-season workouts on Wednesday, October 30 @ 3:10 in Rm 130. If you have any questions please contact Coach Ori or Coach Grieve.

 

PRE ACT INFORMATION

 

Attention all junior students: You will be taking the digital PreACT exam on Wednesday, October 30th in either the Field House or East Gym. All students should be in their assigned rooms before 8:00 a.m. on testing day.

 

It is important that all students are aware of the following:

  1. You must bring your school-issued AND fully-charged Chromebook to the exam.
  2. Bring a pen or pencil for scratch work. The school will provide scratch paper.
  3. You are allowed to bring water to the exam, to be placed under your desk at all times.
  4. Do not bring an internet-enabled device like your cell phone or smart watch. These will be confiscated at the beginning of the exam.

GIRLS SOFTBALL

 

Anyone planning on trying out for girls softball, there will be a preseason meeting on Wednesday, October 30th at 3:10 pm in room 217. If you have any questions or cannot make it please come see Coach Jarrell, Schultz, Watson, or Mynaugh.

 

HALLOWEEN CANDY GRAMS 

 

The Freshman Class Officers will be selling Halloween candy grams during all lunches on Monday through Wednesday this week. Stop by our table to send a sweet treat to a peer for just $1!

 

6TH MAN BAND

 

Hey you! If you are interested in being a part of the 6th Man Rock Band which plays on stage at the Boys

Varsity Home Basketball games, then today is the last day to sign up to audition. Auditions are being

held tomorrow Tuesday, October 29th and on Wednesday, October 30 th starting at

3:15 pm in the band room. Please sign up for your audition on the door of Mrs. Kelley’s Room, room 213. Please see Mrs. Kelley for any questions you may have.
