ASIAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Hey bulldogs, The Asian Student Association would like to highlight Chinese New Year, which is being celebrated today. About 3500 years ago, there was believed to be a monster named Nian who would attack villagers at the beginning of each new year. The villagers believed the monster was afraid of loud noises, bright lights, and the color red, so those things were used to chase the beast away. And thus originated one of the most popular holidays of all time- the Chinese New Year. Join Asian Student Association in this celebration on Friday, January 31st after school in room 201 and come make some beautiful paper lanterns. All are welcome!
