RBHS Juniors Santiago Medellin and Abby Ford Receive School Citizen of the Year Award

Congratulations to juniors Santiago Medellin and Abby Ford on receiving the 2025 School Citizen of the Year (SCOTY) Award! The SCOTY Award recognizes students selected by their schools as “good school citizens and models for others to emulate.” Principal Dr. Freytas shared comments on each recipient and why they deserve this honor.

“Santiago is recognized for his outstanding academic success and positive contributions to RB and the greater community. He maintains a 3.9 GPA and has taken six AP classes. In addition, Santiago is involved in Soccer, Volleyball, Student Association, Helping Paws, and Best Buddies. He is a respectful, compassionate, and selfless young man.”

“Abby is recognized for her academic and extracurricular achievements and impact on the RB community. She holds a 4.0 GPA, is taking two AP classes, and has completed numerous honors courses. Additionally, Abby is a member of Soccer, Bowling, Student Association, Helping Paws, and the Association of Students for Tolerance. She is a welcoming, caring, and compassionate young leader who strives to help others.”

Congratulations to Santiago and Abby on this well-deserved recognition! We look forward to seeing how they continue to lead and inspire both inside and outside of RB.
