Driver Education
2024 Summer Driver Ed Class
RBHS will be offering a Summer Driver Ed Class. This is the classroom portion that requires 30 hours of classroom instruction. The second portion of driver ed, 6 driving hours, will be completed at a later date. Classes will be held in a classroom Monday - Friday from May 31st - June 28th.
Dates: May 31st - June 28th - Monday - Friday( no class on 6/19- Juneteenth Holiday)
Time: 3 classes - 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, and 10:30 AM
Cost: $350 for the course fee - This covers both classroom and behind the wheel. If a student is on the free lunch program, the fee is waived.
Additional $20 will be needed for the state issued Learner’s Permit. The Permit fee is NOT waived by the free lunch program. This fee will be given to Mr. Rech, he will let students know when the fee is due.
Requirements:
- Students must be 15 years of age by the date of the first class
- Students be at least a Sophomore (Freshman are not eligible for this class)
- Students must live in the RBHS district
- Students must have passed at least 8 courses over the last two semesters
Registration: Wednesday, April 24th at 6 pm in the Little Theatre. Students and/or parents must attend. Please come ready with payment, as we will collect payments that evening. Cash, check or credit cards are accepted.
There is a 30-person maximum for each class(90 total), and PRIORITY will be given to the 90 oldest students. If we have more than 90 show up for registration, we can only take the 90 oldest students.
